Our future plan
Our future plan
In these difficult economic times, where budgets are tighter, like many charitable organisations we are always looking for creative ways to raise funds, without burdening our users with extra costs.
We constantly research different methods of funding that are efficient and above all sustainable, so that we can provide a better and more affordable service to the many local people who rely on us.
After careful consideration we have opted to host an outdoor advertising tower, on our site, which will be visible to drivers on the A40.
This option appealed to us because the income generated by this would secure funds and enable us to:
continue to update our fleet ensuring a reliable service
maintain price subsidies for our users
expand our services
explore the use of bio fuels, electric vehicles and other new technologies
become more financially independent
have a reliable and predictable source of income allowing us to employ more staff
The impact of the display structure has been carefully considered by a team of professionals including architects who are designing a structure that has minimal impact to our neighbours yet looks visually interesting from the A40 (westway).
The proposed structure will have a single digital screen 6m x 9m facing eastbound traffic only and will display a sequence of adverts which will change every 10-20 seconds. The contents of the adverts will be controlled remotely enabling it to be updated quickly and easily unlike traditional print boards. The screen will not show any moving images. The brightness (luminance) of the screen will be controlled by light sensors, which will be set to a maximum night time luminance of 300 cd/sqm - half the maximum luminance recommended by the institute of Lighting Professionals Guidance for advertisments and below that of most digital screens operating in London. During the daytime the brightness of the screens will react to weather conditions.
We recently submitted our planning application to RB Kensington & Chelsea and this has now been approved. We are now in the process of putting this contract out to tender, so please do get in touch using our Enquiry Form if you have any questions or would like any further information.

Outdoor advertising specialists Wildstone will design the tower and be legally responsible for the management and development of the site including the tendering of the advertising rights; this process encourages media owners to bid for the rights to operate the site and maximise revenue for Westway CT.

What do our customers say?
This is the first time that young people have engaged in trampolineing in this way and they had a wonderful time. This trip would have not been possible if it wasn’t for the Innovation Fund as the young people travelled to the venue via Westway minibus services.
I just wanted to say thanks for organising the taxi last night and how great Adebe is. Your drivers are always lovely but he was especially helpful and it’s always so reassuring to know our members are being looked after.
Brooke Kerr, AGE UK K&C
Green CT Cars
A taxi from the station to the farm is over £10 and this alone is a price many parents cannot afford. Having access to the Innovation fund has meant that we can support with the cost of transport, meaning the parents can access this opportunity and keep their money for buying fruit when they are there.
Fatima Ahmed, FLIP
The Innovation Fund has been of a great benefit to Lunch Club+ 4 The Bind. We have been on about 4 shopping trips - and counting this coming Saturday - 2 seaside trips
Bill Gough, Lunch Club 4 the Blind
Transport is very well maintained. Drivers and Escorts are excellent and have a good supportive manner which is very important with older people.
Sue Cornish, RBKC Library Service
Adrian is a brilliant Tutor, clear and easy to understand. So happy I chose this company, I also met Kevin; seriously both wonderful tutors. So relaxed, thank you guys.

I had an outing to Richmond Park and Abdul was our driver. I just wanted to say how helpful, patient and calm he was, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone had a really great day and he very much contributed to that.
Group Transport Service
It is so liberating to be able to get about again and be truly independent. I cannot thank those running the scheme enough.
Kevin Foster was professional, knowledgeable, patient and understanding. His friendly and chatty demeanour took away any anxiety we may have felt about learning a new skill. Highly recommend Kevin to any potential students/organisations.

I am writing to personally thank you for all of the support Westway CT provided in helping deliver Christmas Hampers to elderly residents in Westminster. I know the task became more challenging than originally expected, however Richard Yeatman and his team were flexible, responsive and a pleasure to work with.

Community Car Scheme
From the minute I walked into Westway CT I knew it was the place for me. The people are lovely, I was supported all the way through my training (although it was relatively easy after the HGV training) and I was able to do volunteering work and gain some experience and confidence whilst hoping for paid employment.
