Are you in your 50’s, 60’s, 70’s or more? Or your parent or grandparents need help? Have accessibility or mobility issues? Do you need ideas of what to do and where to go in Kensington & Chelsea?
Whether you’re an older individual looking for fun things to do, maybe meet new people and learn a new skill, or whether you’re part of a local community group searching for places to share with your group, we’ve got you covered.
Today we are spotlighting Age UK in RBKC. This Age UK runs a host of events at sites across the borough including Westway Sport & Fitness and The Chelsea Library, plus various parks. There’s something on most days that you can try, from Walking Football and Line Dancing, to Coffee Mornings and Lunch Clubs, or try Spanish/Italian lessons or learn about Art History! There’s a comprehensive list of activities to get stuck into. It’s a chance to take a chance on trying something new in company you can become part of. You need to be a member but AGE UK are happy for you to drop in and try and then speak to them about joining them.
You can see a full list of events and regular activities here
Or give them a call on 020 8969 9105 – they’re open between 9am – 6pm. We recommend calling Age UK on the number above ahead of visiting so that they can help you with the questions you no doubt will have!
We work with this Age UK, they use us for transport and we help their members get to their events. If you are an individual member with Westway CT you can hire one of our volunteer cars too. Give us a call, it’s easy and very low cost and a bit like a taxi, but without the price tag or the rush of getting in and out of the car – we’ll wait, and you can take your time.
And if you’re a group talk to us about using one of our minibuses, as a member you get subsidised rates and a driver, but you can use your own driver if they meet our Ts&Cs which includes being MiDAS qualified.
