Local groups across Kensington & Chelsea depend on us to get them moving, because not having reliable and friendly transport can mess up more than a day.  We’re vital to groups like Sulgrave Youth Club, who ensure that young people in their care can flourish with access to environments that feed their curiosity and grab their attention.

Sulgrave manager Nick explains; 

“Our work is even more important in the school holidays. We take young people on trips outside of London – trips to theme parks like Legoland, aquaparks and the seaside – for many of our young people, it’s their only opportunity to see the sea. Twice a year, we take 60 young people to the countryside for a residential, providing time in nature.

“These trips aren’t just valuable for their activities, they give us an opportunity to work with children and young people over a longer timeframe, building confidence and supporting the development of social skills. We rely on our  Westway CT membership for these journeys – without which, our work would be impossible.”

Community Transport is more than wheels, it changes lives and exponentially does more for the community, we’ll keep banging this drum because the value it adds to communities across the UK is a game changer for better lives all round. Over the last year we delivered 44,400 groups trips for a range of reasons, from social to social welfare. We’ve helped to create and connect communities for over 30 years.
