Every Journey Is Part Of Something Bigger

October 6, 2026

Last week we held our AGM and looked back over another year at Westway Community Transport.

Our 2025/26 report brings together the figures, services and activity that make up a year at Westway.

But behind the numbers are important stories.

17,850 Dial-a-Ride passenger journeys.

38,480 Group Transport passenger journeys.

3,280 Volunteer Car and Flexibus passenger journeys.

Thousands of journeys supporting people in Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster and Hammersmith & Fulham to access healthcare, shopping, social activities, groups, excursions and the everyday things that help people remain independent and connected.

And none of this happens without people.

During the year, 44 employees and 20 volunteers contributed to keeping Westway moving, supported by trustees, partners and the wider community.

Next week is Community Transport Week 2026, with the theme Driving Communities Forward.

The theme recognises the people who keep community transport moving, from paid and volunteer drivers to staff, trustees and volunteers behind the scenes.

We think it captures something important about community transport.

Driving communities forward isn’t simply about putting vehicles on the road.

It’s about removing barriers, creating connections and helping people take part in community life.

At WestwayCT, that’s what we mean by Connecting people and places.
