Connecting people and places. But what does that really mean?
While our strap line is simple: Connecting people and places – it has always meant something more – and, that isn’t just a picture of a bus either, it’s an enabler, just as important as your router is to your wifi.
For us it means helping an older person continue their weekly shopping and maintain their independence.
It’s enabling someone to reach an important medical appointment.
It means making sure a local charity can bring people together, knowing accessible transport won’t be a barrier.
It’s supporting volunteers who generously give their time to help others.
Ultimately, it means creating opportunities for people to remain connected to the people, places and communities that matter to them.
Over the years, we’ve seen that community transport isn’t simply about getting from A to B. It’s part of the community infrastructure that helps people stay independent, reduces isolation and enables local organisations to deliver vital services.
Every journey is different, but they all have one thing in common: they help people take part in everyday life.
In a world that can sometimes feel increasingly disconnected, we believe communities grow stronger when everyone has the opportunity to belong, participate and contribute.
That’s what Connecting people and places means to us. And we couldn’t do it without the support of the community we are in.
